Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company via WECTEC Staffing Services seeks an O&M Technician to support a 62 MW natural gas-fired cogeneration facility. The role involves plant operations, equipment monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance, and assisting outages. Reports to Plant Manager and collaborates with CRO to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver's license, and experience in power generation or similar environments.

Qualifications

• Requires hands-on maintenance experience in power generation or related technical environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures, drawings, and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Support safe, reliable operation of the power plant with the Control Room Operator.
• Monitor gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSGs, boilers, generators, pumps, valves, and compressors.
• Assist with startups, shutdowns, inspections, testing, and routine operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, minor repairs, calibrations, and corrective maintenance.
• Maintain accurate logs, inspection records, and maintenance documentation.
• Conduct water sampling and chemical testing according to procedures.
• Safely handle chemicals and support spill response activities.
• Implement LOTO procedures and isolate equipment for maintenance.
• Operate electrical breakers and switches per procedures.
• Coordinate outages with contractors and vendors.
• Use CMMS to manage work orders, inventory, and spare parts.
