Job summary

DTE Energy is seeking a qualified operator for the safe and efficient operation of all utility plant equipment at the St. Bernard, OH facility. The role involves assisting with maintenance tasks, adhering to SOPs, and ensuring reliable plant performance.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED with four years of experience and a license; an associate degree is preferred. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, safety, and troubleshooting is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, four years of experience and license is required.
• An associate degree is preferred.
• Must have knowledge of utility and power plant mechanical and electrical equipment and related maintenance functions.
• Knowledge of power plant safety, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains all station equipment, including startup and shutdown of main plant components.
• Performs operations in accordance with SOPs and safety standards.
• Monitors gauges, records logs, and maintains documentation.
• Conducts routine plant tours and inspections, reporting issues as needed.
• Performs routine preventive and predictive maintenance on systems and equipment.
