Qualifications

• Four years of high school education; an associate degree is preferred.
• Experience in power generation technician roles and operations.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and process control systems; ability to read P&IDs.
• Knowledge of safety practices and OSHA/LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Startup, shutdown, and routine operations of power plant systems, including CTs and HRSGs.
• Operate major auxiliary equipment such as air compressors and cooling systems.
• Conduct operating tests, inspections, and minor repairs on equipment.
• Prepare equipment for service and follow safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate CMMS logs and documentation of activities.
• Report abnormalities and take corrective actions as needed.
• Assist during maintenance periods and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Utilize CMMS to enter data and track maintenance activities.
• Document work orders, spare parts usage, and ordering as required.
• Monitor parameters (temperature, vibration, pressure) and inspect equipment.
• Perform visual and auditory inspections to identify issues.
• Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and implement repairs.
• Fulfill other tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager.
