Job summary

Luminant Power LLC is seeking a Plant Operator to maintain instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems at a 2-unit GT24 Combined Cycle plant. The role includes routine and emergency maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration of boiler and turbine controls, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

The position pays $40–$50 per hour, with work requiring outdoor duties, potential overtime, and operation from a facility in Blackstone, MA.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years maintenance experience in power generation facilities or similar industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of Safety and Environment rules as they relate to electrical maintenance.
• Familiarity with CMMS. Maximo preferred.
• Must possess basic math skills and good verbal communications.
• Proficient with power and precision tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on plant instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Provide technical troubleshooting for plant instrumentation and control systems.
• Inspect, repair, install and remove motors, generators, transformers, switches, circuit breakers and MCC equipment up to 4160 volts.
• Tune and calibrate boiler controls and turbine controls for safe, efficient operation.
• Maintain and calibrate all plant instrumentation to provide reliable information.
• Document and maintain maintenance history and comply with safety guidelines.
• Operate under outdoor conditions and work overtime as required.
