Job summary

Vistra is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for a 2-unit GT24 Combined Cycle plant in Blackstone, MA. You will maintain instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems to meet energy generation requirements, with a pay range of $40-$50 per hour depending on experience.

This role requires 4-6 years of maintenance experience in power facilities, knowledge of safety rules, and the ability to work overtime and in challenging conditions.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years maintenance experience in power generation facilities or similar industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of Safety and Environment rules as they relate to electrical maintenance.
• Familiarity with CMMS; Maximo preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on plant instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
• Inspect, repair, install and remove motors, generators, transformers, switches, breakers, and related equipment up to 4160 volts.
• Tune and calibrate boiler controls for safe and optimal boiler performance.
• Calibrate turbine controls and turbine valve actuators for safe and optimal performance.
• Maintain and calibrate plant instrumentation for reliable operating information.
