Job summary

Luminant Power LLC in Blackstone, MA seeks a Plant Operator to maintain instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems for a 2-unit GT24 Combined Cycle plant. The role involves performing routine and emergency maintenance, calibrating boiler and turbine controls, and ensuring safe, reliable operation.

You will work outdoors in challenging conditions and support operations with precise diagnostics.

Qualifications

4-6 years maintenance experience in power generation facilities or similar industrial facilities
Knowledge of Safety and Environment rules as they relate to electrical maintenance
Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and loud environments
Must pass respirator fit test
Proficiency with use of power and precision tools and ability to read electrical schematics

Responsibilities

Perform routine and emergency maintenance on plant instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems.
Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and resolution of plant instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems’ issues.
Inspect, repair, install and remove motors, generators, transformers, switches, circuit breakers and motor control equipment up to 4160 volts.
Tune and calibrate boiler controls to ensure safe and optimum boiler performance.
Calibrate turbine controls and turbine valve actuators for safe and optimum turbine performance.
