Job summary

NiSource Inc. in Wheatfield, IN is seeking a Supervisor Maintenance - Electric Generation to direct maintenance activities, supervise a team of Operations and Maintenance Technicians, and ensure high equipment availability and safety.

You will balance corrective and predictive work while maintaining environmental compliance and coordinating with the Operations Superintendent, Engineering, and Plant Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 4+ years’ experience in Maintenance or related engineering in a power plant or similar industrial process or military service.
• Strong technical background with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems; power plant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs the plant maintenance activities to maximize equipment and unit availability.
• Supervises a team of Operations and Maintenance Technicians in corrective and predictive maintenance.
• Maintains a safe work environment and conducts pre-job safety briefs for all assignments.
• Develops effective repair strategies and maintenance schedules with key stakeholders.
• Manages budgets and forecasts expenses; assigns resources and overtime as needed.
• Assumes standby responsibilities and responds to emergencies as required.
