Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Power Plant Maintenance Technician in Washington, DC area to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize critical plant equipment including pumps, valves, boilers, and turbines. You will support outages, participate in upgrades, and contribute to reliability and safety.

This contract role offers 6 months with possible extension, a pay range of $35.00–$39.87 per hour, and competitive benefits. Applicants must have 5 years of relevant experience and technical training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in power plant operations and/or maintenance.
• Technical or vocational training through a recognized trade school, apprenticeship, or military program.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of steam plant systems and combustion turbine equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize plant equipment including pumps, valves, compressors, blowers, heat exchangers, boilers, and supporting systems.
• Assist with outage planning, scheduling, and execution activities.
• Support the administration and ongoing improvement of preventive maintenance programs.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by identifying and addressing unsafe conditions.
