Job summary

Blue Star Partners LLC in Wheatfield, IN seeks an experienced Maintenance Technical Support professional for an onsite contract-to-hire role at a power plant. You will support maintenance planning, troubleshooting, procedure development, and safe, reliable plant operations.

The ideal candidate has strong power plant maintenance, instrumentation and controls, and predictive maintenance knowledge, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance. Standard hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, plus lunch.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in maintenance, engineering, power plant operations, industrial process environments, military service, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong technical background with power plant equipment, systems, and operations.
• Instrumentation and controls background.
• Commitment to maintaining safe work practices.
• Ability to utilize predictive maintenance techniques such as thermography, vibration analysis, ultrasound, and tribology.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or instrumentation maintenance procedures and work practices.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Wheatfield, IN.

Responsibilities

• Plan work with the Maintenance Supervisor; develop procedures and resolve technical questions.
• Review job sites, work scopes, and maintenance procedures for hazards and execution readiness.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and Plant Management on repair strategies and schedules.
• Support troubleshooting of plant equipment and abnormal operating conditions.
• Develop budgets, track expenses, and forecast monthly.
