Job summary

CAMS - Texas is seeking an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation Technician to maintain and repair plant electrical and instrumentation systems in our Maryland facility. You will read P&IDs, perform calibration, troubleshoot 480V-4160V equipment, and support safety/compliance programs.

The ideal candidate has 2–5+ years in a power plant environment or equivalent military experience, strong hands-on skills with test instruments, and the ability to work in a team while handling multiple

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years in power plant environment or relevant military experience.
• Familiar with test equipment and precision instruments for diagnosing problems.
• Technical training in electrical or instrumentation completed.
• Capability to lift 40–75 pounds and work around energized systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and electrical diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Maintain 480V–4160V systems including motors, transformers, switchgear.
• Calibrate field instruments: pressure, flow, DP, level transmitters.
• Support calibration program development and maintenance.
• Respond to outages and equipment failures to ensure reliability.
• Maintain manuals, prints, diagrams, and maintenance records.
• Promote safety and regulatory compliance; work in a team environment.
