Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking a Field Project Instrumentation Technician to support a power generation facility in Conowingo, MD. The role centers on instrumentation and controls, with hands-on calibration, testing, and maintenance of critical plant instruments.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, install, calibrate, and repair pressure, temperature, flow, and process instruments; read P&IDs and instrument drawings; and follow site safety procedures. Per diem and travel assistance may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in power plant instrumentation is required.
• Ability to calibrate, troubleshoot, install, and maintain instrumentation.
• Ability to read P&IDs and instrument drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform instrumentation inspections, testing, calibration, and adjustments.
• Troubleshoot and maintain plant instrumentation and control devices.
• Install, calibrate, and repair pressure, temperature, flow, and process instruments.
• Test alarms and verify proper operation of control systems.
• Inspect gauges, transmitters, switches, and field instrumentation.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Document calibration results, maintenance activities, and repairs.
• Support corrective maintenance and plant reliability initiatives.
• Follow all site safety procedures while working in an active power plant environment.
