Job summary

GE Vernova in Hawaii seeks a Power Plant Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical Technician to maintain and repair electrical, instrumentation and control systems on site.

You will calibrate transmitters, control valves and other devices, maintain switchgear and motor control centers, and support environmental, health, and safety policies while working with Operations and Maintenance teams. This role requires readiness for call-outs and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years in power plant, marine, refinery, or similar.
• Proficient in calibration and troubleshooting of instrumentation.
• Experience with repair or replacement of process control instrumentation.
• Knowledge of PLC or DCS basics.
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, and medical exam.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all electrical, instrumentation and control systems on site.
• Calibrate control system input and output devices.
• Maintain power distribution equipment including switchgear and MCCs.
• Assist in maintenance procedures and record keeping.
• Support Operations and Maintenance as required.
• Follow safety, environmental and health policies.
