Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with significant experience in heavy industrial power plants. Responsibilities include defining scope, schedules, and budgets; overseeing costs and profitability; managing client billings and vendor invoices; and mentoring junior staff.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, 13+ years in the field, and PMI/CCM/DBIA certification within 12 months. Travel ~10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required or equivalent experience.
• Thirteen or more years of relevant work experience.
• PMI, CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares statements of work with work breakdown structures (budgets) and gains concurrence and approval from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs to ensure profitability.
• Manages client billings and ensures timely payment; approves subcontractor invoices.
• Monitors project status and risks, escalating as needed.
• Coordinates and reviews submittals and changes with stakeholders.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
• Prepares monthly reports and bid packages.
• Files and stores project contract documents.
