Job summary

The Perry Group, a CDM Smith company, is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with extensive background in heavy industrial power projects, including power plants.

You will create project definitions, schedules, budgets, and outline project objectives, while driving profitability and coordinating with stakeholders. Travel up to 10% and mentoring of junior staff may be expected.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with project management methodology including budgeting, planning, control and assurance.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities for client interactions.
• Ability to interact with staff at all levels and with vendors/subcontractors.
• Advanced PC skills, especially MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares statements of work with work breakdown structures and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Prepares and reviews client billings and ensures timely payments; approves subcontractor invoices.
• Monitors project status and escalates risks as needed; manages change using change protocols.
• Coordinates and communicates deadlines to project team members; prepares monthly reports.
