Job summary

Qualifications

• Education requirements are listed as: Associate degree in engineering, industrial or energy technology; OR Associate degree in another discipline plus two years of related experience; OR high school diploma with four years related experience; OR high school diploma with two years related military experience.

Responsibilities

• Isolate, clean, open, replace, inspect, close and restore service to strainers, heat exchangers and dust collectors.
• Operate, clean, service and lubricate portable power tools and equipment; maintain tools and work areas.
• Operate and maintain bottom ash and flyash handling equipment; monitor plant equipment and report abnormalities.
• Disassemble/assemble, clean and recondition parts; prepare surfaces for maintenance; erect simple scaffolding and rigging.
• Load, unload and move materials; operate material handling equipment (hoists, forklifts, skid steers, small tractors).
• Perform routine cleaning of plant areas; clean oil igniters and nozzles.
• Assist in preparing boilers and auxiliaries for operation and for removal from service; monitor coal feed and burners.
