Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 3+ years of progressively responsible relevant work experience in power operations engineering or transmission system planning.
• Knowledge of NERC/WECC Reliability Standards and related concepts is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Participates in assigned tasks to meet unit goals and schedules.
• Ensures SMUD's bulk power system reliability and delivers power to load centers.
• Supports development of standard operating procedures for bulk power system operations.
• Contributes to project plans and timelines for department initiatives.
• Performs duties outside normal hours when necessary.
