Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Director, Power Market to lead the delivery of natural gas and thermal power generation projects, providing strategic oversight across all phases of the lifecycle. You will ensure safety, schedule, cost and quality objectives while maintaining strong client relationships.

Role requires extensive travel, with a preference for Atlanta, GA or Kansas City, MO, and may offer location flexibility.

Qualifications

• 15+ years construction management experience (Preferred).
• 5+ years people management experience (Required).
• Proven track record managing major power generation projects (Preferred).
• Experience with EPC delivery model (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and leadership for the assigned project or work program across all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Leads all aspects of the company’s safety culture and creates awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment.
• Assists senior management with strategy development and supports company-wide initiatives.
• Provides strategic direction to team members in light of broader work program plans.
• Manages client relationships at a leadership level and develops long-term opportunities.
• Acts as escalation point for project risks and negotiates issue resolution including changes and contingency expenditures.
• Drives subcontractor and engineer relationships to achieve project results.
• Leads preconstruction discussions and develops contractual obligations.
• Oversees project and schedule review throughout the lifecycle.
• Manages staffing and resources to meet commitments.
• Engages with community and industry partners to promote the organization.
• Promotes diversity and inclusion within JE Dunn.
