Job summary

JE Dunn Construction’s Advanced Facilities Group seeks a Project Director, Power Market to lead delivery of natural gas and thermal power generation projects. You will provide strategic oversight, guide teams through complex technical and commercial challenges, and maintain key client relationships while ensuring safety, budget, and schedule objectives.

The role requires extensive travel; preferred location includes Atlanta, GA or Kansas City, MO, with flexibility based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience considered.
• 15+ years construction management experience (Preferred).
• 5+ years people management experience (Required).
• Proven track record managing major power generation projects from pursuit through closeout (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and leadership across all project lifecycle phases.
• Lead safety culture and incident investigations.
• Support senior management with strategy and policies.
• Set strategic direction for the work program.
• Manage client relationships at leadership level.
• Lead risk assessment and issue resolution for the project.
• Develop subcontractor strategy and select qualified partners.
• Lead preconstruction discussions with clients and internal teams.
• Oversee project and schedule reviews to ensure obligations.
• Manage staffing and resource allocation.
• Represent company in community and industry engagements.
• Promote diversity and inclusion across JE Dunn.
