Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Finance Analyst Intern to support the accounting and finance functions on construction projects. You will touch cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and HR-related processes, helping prepare financials for project management.

You’ll participate in month-end close, learn project accounting workflows, and gain hands-on experience with labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts within a large, nationwide program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
• Legally authorized to work without sponsorship
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the country
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
• Travel/relocation up to 50% may be required
• Experience with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups is preferred
• Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and quick learner
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Assist in payroll, accounts payable/receivable and cost control
• Support month-end close and financial reporting for projects
• Understand purchasing, invoicing and internal controls
• Learn intercompany and client billing processes
• Contribute to cost, budget and forecast reviews
• Maintain organized work environment and meet deadlines
• Comply with Corporate Compliance and labor laws at project level
• Communicate clearly with project management and operations teams
