Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Finance Analyst Intern to support accounting and finance functions on large-scale projects. The role focuses on cost control, payroll, and compliance, with involvement in month-end close and financial reporting for project managers.

You will gain hands-on experience across labor, equipment, materials, and subcontract cost components, contributing to project-level financial management and reporting. Relocation and travel may be required as projects span multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, or business management.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
• Willing to relocate anywhere in the country.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Travel/relocation may be required (up to 50%).
• Experience with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and cost control on projects.
• Support month-end close and prepare financial reporting for project management.
• Help ensure internal controls over purchasing and vendor payments.
• Aid in forecasting and budgeting and explain variances to management.
• Collaborate with Operations team to deliver accurate financial data.
