Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Finance Analyst Intern to support project accounting and financial processes on large-scale construction initiatives. You will engage in cost control, payroll, AP/AR, HCM and compliance as part of a project-focused finance team.

This internship offers exposure to month-end close, financial reporting packages, and cross-functional collaboration across labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts, with frequent relocation and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Business Management).
• Legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
• Willing to relocate anywhere in the country.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable and compliance.
• Participate in month-end close and prepare financial reporting packages.
• Support forecasting and accounting practices across multiple cost components.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate project reporting.
• Maintain internal controls and purchase workflow.
• Support cost and revenue recognition discussions with project management.
