Job summary

Northwest Lineman College in Edgewater, FL is seeking an Electrical Power Lineworker Training Instructor. This on-site role blends field and classroom training to develop skilled linemen and uphold our safety and quality standards.

You’ll start through NLC’s educator progression program, mentor students, and collaborate with campus leadership to drive continuous improvement. Relocation assistance is available, with up to 30% travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman credential (IBEW) or apprenticeship completion required.
• Minimum 5 years work experience in the line trade.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL Class A preferred or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and classroom training sessions.
• Prepare for knowledge and skill delivery each term.
• Maintain updated knowledge on programs and catalogs.
• Identify gaps and provide solutions to keep campus ready for training.
• Work with leadership to identify improvements and set professional goals.
• Suggest innovative training approaches to enhance learning.
• Model professional behavior and teamwork for students and staff.
• Keep student-first mindset in all activities.
