Job summary

Entergy Mississippi is hiring an Apprentice in Clinton, Mississippi to train in the construction and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution systems under supervision. The role covers installing poles, connectors, and secondaries, climbing poles with safety, and assisting qualified linemen.

In the 1st year you perform basic tasks and gain qualifications; in the 2nd year you apply company construction specs to simpler tasks, with progression as you learn.

Qualifications

• Willing and able to perform entry-level line work tasks under supervision.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a valid Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction and maintenance of transmission and distribution conductors and structures.
• Use pole climbing equipment safely.
• Install poles, racks, and hardware.
• Connect services on energized conductors up to 600 volts.
• Operate Company vehicles and prepare reports.
