Job summary

Chain Electric Company is seeking a Groundman to assist Lineman in power line construction, repair, maintenance and storm restoration. This entry-level role prepares and maintains trucks, loads materials, and ensures tools and equipment are ready for crews in challenging outdoor environments.

Responsibilities include site preparation, equipment handling, vehicle operation, tool maintenance and safe traffic control.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel 100% of the time.
• Valid CDL is required due to job duties.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work irregular hours.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain trucks and materials used daily.
• Assist Lineman in construction, repair and maintenance tasks.
• Set up worksites and manage tools for crews.
• Control traffic around work zones safely.
• Operate forklift and other equipment as needed.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
