Job summary

Arup is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern in Dallas to contribute to building power distribution, lighting and grounding projects, and perform short circuit studies. You will learn through hands-on work with Revit MEP, AGI 32 and SKM while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and vendors.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BSEE or related degree, with interest in sustainable design, and eager to develop technical reporting and documentation skills in a consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or similar.
• Demonstrated interest in electrical engineering with emphasis on building systems design.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting and grounding for buildings/infrastructure.
• Perform short circuit, overcurrent coordination, load and arc flash studies.
• Create lighting photometric calculations using AGI.
• Assist with circuitry assignment for Power and Lighting devices.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Work with Revit MEP, SKM and other tools on projects.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and vendors to gain knowledge.
