Job summary

Arup seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern in Seattle to support design of power distribution, lighting, grounding for buildings and infrastructure. You will assist with short-circuit studies, arc flash analysis, and lighting calculations while contributing to project reports.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a relevant degree, show planning and communication skills, and have exposure to Revit MEP and SKM. This internship offers hands-on learning and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Interest in electrical engineering with power systems for buildings/infrastructure.
• Strong planning, organization and written/verbal communication.
• EIT/ FE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting and grounding for buildings and infrastructure.
• Perform short circuit, overcurrent coordination, load and arc flash studies.
• Lighting photometric calculations using AGI.
• Assign circuitry for power and lighting devices.
• Prepare technical reports.
• Work on projects using Revit MEP and SKM.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and vendors.
• Attend meetings to gain knowledge and contribute.
