Job summary

Kokosing Industrial, Inc. is seeking a Field/Project Engineer to support industrial power construction projects in the St. Louis area. You will interpret drawings, plan field workflows, manage safety, and coordinate with design and procurement teams to ensure timely, quality execution across multiple sites.

The role requires an engineering background, leadership, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset, with opportunities for growth into senior project roles and relocation as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure we “Lead with Safety 24/7”
• Ability to freely access all points of a construction site across diverse climates and environments
• Demonstrated leadership and initiative in previous roles
• Strong work ethic and commitment to ethics and integrity
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to balance multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Field Operations: interpret drawings/specifications/3D models, prepare work plans, audit safety, schedule materials, track progress, perform quality inspections.
• Office Engineering: maintain project controls, generate change orders, supervise subcontractors, support logistics, coordinate design and procurement.
• Estimating: review data, perform quantity takeoffs, assist with bid preparation.
