Kokosing, Inc. is seeking a Field/Project Engineer for our Power/Industrial Construction division in the St. Louis, MO area.

The role focuses on field operations and project controls, with opportunities for advancement and relocation across projects, including large battery storage, power plants, and data center developments. The successful candidate will interpret drawings, plan work, ensure safety and quality, and support estimating and procurement on diverse EPC projects within our Industrial

Responsibilities

  • Field Operations: interpret drawings, prepare work plans, audit safety compliance, schedule material deliveries, track installation progress, perform quality inspections.
  • Office Engineering: maintain project controls, generate change orders, supervise subcontractors, support site logistics, coordinate design and procurement interface.
  • Estimating: review data, perform quantity takeoffs, assist with bid preparation.

Division Overview

Kokosing's Industrial and Power Division is offering an exciting opportunity to work on diverse, complex engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects ranging from power generation facilities to other process industries. We are seeking individuals who are open to regular and frequent relocation for career development opportunities and who desire job responsibilities in field operations ranging from project controls, craft management, safety, quality, planning, estimating, and contract administration. We build various project sites across Midwest and East Coast regions. Examples of recent and current project sites: St. Louis, MO & Festus, MO

Responsibilities

* Field Operations: Interpret drawings/specifications/3D models for field crews and craft, prepare work plans and work packages, audit operations for safety compliance, order and schedule material deliveries, track installation progress, perform quality inspections and submit test records

* Office Engineering: Maintain project controls including client report development and schedule updates, generate change orders reviewed by project management, supervise subcontractor operations, support site logistics, coordinate design and procurement interface

* Estimating: Review and analyze data relative to the project, perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, complete plans and specification reviews for projects, assist with the preparation of a bid

Qualifications

* Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, construction management, or related degree
