Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering Group is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to contribute technical expertise and team leadership on diverse projects within the power sector. You will work on proposals, detailed design, and commissioning support as part of a multidisciplinary team across internal and external partners.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering.
PE registration is preferred.
Familiarity with control system programming concepts.
Experience with SCADA systems and PLC; DCS experience desirable.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and apply engineering techniques for projects of varying sizes and complexity.
Incorporate contract and customer requirements to meet goals.
Contribute to proposals, estimates, and feasibility studies; coordinate with engineers and partners.
Oversee design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Prepare technical specifications and evaluate equipment proposals; coordinate with suppliers.
Schedule and coordinate design efforts with project team members.
Mentor entry and mid-level staff and provide coaching as needed.
Coordinate with internal/external partners on electrical/IC design concepts and issues.
