Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced Project Development Project Manager to join our Michigan-based Power Generation team. You will lead multi-discipline projects, manage client relationships, and drive strategy from pre-positioning through project completion.

The ideal candidate has significant experience in power generation systems, strong communication skills, and a proven track record in planning, scheduling, and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 7 years related experience, inclusive of a minimum 2 years in project management.
• Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the position location (e.g., PE/P.Eng).
• MS Project and MS Office experience is required.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Active participation in our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive and proactive client relationships.
• Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals.
• Serve as proposal champion/manager and assist with proposal preparation, review of contract terms and conditions, and evaluate risks.
• Provide daily leadership to the project team and technical staff.
• Coordinate with the client and project team to align deliverables and monitor quality and conformance.
• Monitor project budget and schedule and develop recovery plans.
• Identify scope changes and manage their impact.
• Provide training and mentoring on PM and consulting issues.
• Perform design or consulting work in the engineering discipline.
• Routinely report project progress to local and regional accounting and operations teams.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
