Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Michigan-based Power Generation team. You will lead a multi-discipline project team, manage client relationships, and drive the project from pre-positioning through completion, ensuring schedule, quality, and profitability goals are met.

The role requires strong communication skills, experience with utility-scale power systems, and familiarity with emerging trends such as distributed generation and CHP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• 7 years related experience required.
• Minimum 2 years project management experience.
• Strong ability to interact with design teams and communicate clearly.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain proactive client relationships.
• Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals.
• Serve as proposal champion and review contract terms.
• Provide daily leadership to project team and staff.
• Monitor project deliverables, budget, and schedule.
• Identify scope changes and ensure alignment with client expectations.
• Mentor project team on PM and consulting issues.
• Perform design/consulting work in engineering area.
• Report progress to local and regional accounting and operations teams.
