Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced Power Generation Project Manager to join our Michigan-based team. You will lead multi-discipline projects for industrial and utility power sectors, maintain client relationships, develop strategies, and drive schedules and budgets from pre-positioning to completion.

The role requires strong communication skills, PMP-style project management experience, and a track record of delivering complex design/consulting assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• 7 years related experience
• A minimum of 2 years project management experience
• Ability to interact with various design teams and strong organizational, PM and communication skills
• Commitment to employee-owned culture and participation

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive and proactive client relationships.
• Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals.
• Serve as proposal champion/manager and assist with proposal preparation and contract review.
• Provide daily leadership to the project team and technical staff.
• Coordinate with project team and client to align deliverables with expectations and plan.
• Monitor budget and schedule; develop recovery plans as needed.
• Monitor scope changes and manage project scope.
• Mentor project staff on PM and consulting issues.
• Perform design or consulting work within engineering expertise.
• Report project progress to accounting and operations teams.
• Execute all other duties as assigned
