Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Power Generation Project Manager to lead multi-discipline teams in Michigan. The role focuses on selling and delivering power generation projects across industrial, institutional, municipal, IPP and utility sectors, with emphasis on client engagement and strategic planning.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience with utility-scale power systems and emerging trends, plus strong communication across internal teams and external clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • Minimum 10 years related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required (PE/P.Eng).
  • MS Office and MS Project experience; Access is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.
  • Active participation in employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams through the project lifecycle (development to close-out).
  • Manage large multidiscipline projects or mid-size projects with high technical complexity.
  • Produce and coordinate multiple projects concurrently.
  • Maintain client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
  • Lead work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload across the project lifecycle to meet schedule.
