Job summary

AES Indiana is seeking a NERC Compliance Engineer to strengthen reliability, safety, and performance of our generation operations. You will support renewable and thermal assets, ensuring compliance with NERC and Regional Entity standards in collaboration with engineering and regulatory teams.

You will monitor standards, develop programs, coordinate audits, and analyze protection systems to maintain compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
• Experience with NERC standards (O&P, CIP) is preferred.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills; effective communicator.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support NERC Reliability Standards for generation facilities.
• Develop and maintain compliance programs and documentation.
• Coordinate NERC and Regional Entity audits and self-certifications.
• Analyze protection systems and generation data to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate compliance into design, maintenance, and ops.
