Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in the United States is seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer (Generation) to join our Power & Energy team across multiple locations, including Mt. Laurel, NJ.

You will design mechanical systems from concept to completion, prepare equipment specs, and coordinate with multi-discipline engineers. The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, 5+ years of design experience, FE/EIT, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience in industrial facilities.
• FE or EIT certification.
• Knowledge of mechanical codes and regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design from concept through design completion.
• Design systems to meet project needs as directed by leads.
• Prepare equipment specifications and data sheets.
• Review drawings and coordinate with designers.
• Review vendor submittals for mechanical gear and equipment.
• Collaborate with electrical, structural, civil engineers for coordination.
• Travel to client sites 5%-10% as needed.
• Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and company policies.
• Handle additional duties as required.
