Job summary

Maverick Power in Washington state seeks a Service Technician to install, start-up and commission power distribution equipment, troubleshoot and repair, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to upgrade installed equipment. You must read drawings, write reports, and maintain strict safety practices.

Travel to customer sites, work independently or with a team, and support service and product teams to address quality and warranty concerns.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years electrical/mechanical experience
• Ability to travel, including overnight stays
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Commitment to safety policies

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites and work independently or as part of a team in support of equipment installation, start-up and commissioning efforts.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Field Services and Product Management to address quality and warranty concerns.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, service manuals and product instructions for configuration of equipment.
• Complete field technical reports, update safety documents, and document quality findings and resolutions.
• Work with service management, engineering and manufacturing staff to address manufacturing quality issues and engineering change requests.
• Interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, Bill of Material and specifications.
• Utilize electrical test equipment to diagnose, program and repair installed equipment.
• Assist engineering staff in collecting information for development of technical documentation.
