Job summary

Maverick Power in Texas is seeking a skilled Service Technician to support installation, start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of power distribution equipment at customer sites.

You will interpret electrical drawings, document technical information, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing staff to ensure quality and safety. A 2-year technical degree and ability to travel are required, with opportunities for growth and a sign-on bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent with electrical/mechanical experience.
• Ability to travel, including overnight stays.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, power studies, and manuals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable to drive company/rented vehicle.
• Compliance with safety policies and company rules.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, start-up and commission equipment.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Field Services and Product Management to address quality and warranty concerns.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, service manuals and product instructions.
• Complete field technical reports and update safety documents.
• Address manufacturing quality issues with engineering and manufacturing staff.
• Interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, BOM and specifications.
• Use electrical test equipment to diagnose, program and repair installed equipment.
• Assist engineering with collecting information for technical documentation.
• Install and repair electro-mechanical components.
• Support service sales by developing solutions and providing status updates.
