Job summary

Maverick Power is seeking a Service Technician to support field installation, start-up and commissioning of power distribution equipment. Travel 50% to customer sites, read and interpret electrical drawings, and collaborate with Engineering, Field Services and Product Management to resolve quality and warranty concerns.

You will document technical findings, maintain safety documentation, and assist in developing technical documentation.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree with 2+ years electrical/mechanical experience.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, power studies and manuals.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Compliance with company safety and administrative policies.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, start-up and commission equipment, solo or in teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Field Services and Product Management on quality and warranty concerns.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and product instructions for configuration.
• Prepare field technical reports and update safety documents; document quality findings with CMMS.
• Coordinate with service management, engineering and manufacturing to address quality issues and engineering changes.
• Interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs and specifications for equipment.
• Use electrical test equipment to diagnose, program and repair installed equipment.
• Assist engineering with gathering information for technical documentation.
• Utilize mechanical skills to install, adjust, and repair electro-mechanical components.
• Support service sales by interfacing with engineering and manufacturing to develop solutions and provide status updates.
