WSP Global Inc. is seeking an experienced Substation Structural Engineer for the Duluth, GA office, with consideration for Baton Rouge, LA. You’ll contribute to the Power & Energy Civil Structural Substation Team, delivering steel, concrete, and foundation designs for electrical substations.

The role emphasizes technical guidance, collaboration across disciplines, and adherence to safety and code standards. Occasional travel may be required, and relocation is not offered.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 3–5 years of post‑education structural engineering experience, including substation design.
• Engineer in Training Certification.
• Knowledge of steel and concrete design, soil mechanics and foundation design.
• Familiarity with building codes (ACI, AISC, ASCE).
• Experience with structural analysis software (RISA‑3D, STAAD Pro).
• Ability to interpret and apply codes to design deliverables.

Responsabilidades

• Perform professional structural engineering work on electrical substation projects, including steel structures and foundations.
• Prepare calculations, design criteria and calculation packages to meet client standards.
• Develop construction specs, cost estimates and technical inputs for proposals.
• Produce and review structural drawings and fabrication documents.
• Coordinate with electrical, civil, geotechnical, and construction teams.
• Use structural analysis tools to size systems and foundations.
• Conduct QA/QC on deliverables prior to submission.
• Support project managers with reporting and coordination.
