Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Full-Time Electrical Engineering (Transmission) Intern to work out of our Ann Arbor, MI office for the summer internship program. The internship provides hands-on exposure and mentorship while contributing to real projects.

The 12-week program starts May 17, 2027, with start date flexibility. Ideal candidates are enrolled in undergraduate or graduate EE programs, 18+, and ready to learn in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering or related undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering and a desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work.
• Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
• Ability to interact professionally with engineers and non-engineering audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
