Clayco is seeking a Project Executive to lead the Power & Energy business unit, focusing on utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will secure new business, manage multi-project execution, and uphold safety, quality, and budget targets across a nationwide portfolio.

The role requires 20+ years of construction leadership, a strong background in EPC and interconnection agreements, and a passion for mentoring teams while driving growth in the energy sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• 20–25 years of progressive construction experience with $50M+ projects including BESS/renewables.
• Deep cost understanding, EPC/interconnection contracts, and team leadership.
• Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams and mentor talent.
• Entrepreneurial drive with strong client development and business acumen.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Attention to detail, strategic thinking, and risk management mindset.
• Physical ability to navigate job sites and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development with the Power & Energy unit; build client relationships.
• Lead RFQ/RFP responses, define pursuit strategies, and manage EPC/agreements.
• Serve as executive client contact; ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Recruit and mentor project teams; oversee design to construction transitions.
• Collaborate with operations on major buyouts and cost control.
• Contribute to strategic goals and innovation within the BU.
