Job summary

Green Recruitment Company seeks an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead installation and commissioning strategy for large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. You will oversee field execution teams, drive safety and quality, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in power generation/energy storage, proven leadership of technical teams, and deep knowledge of BESS and electrical controls.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in power generation, energy storage, or utilities.
• Proven experience leading installation and commissioning for large-scale projects.
• Experience with BESS or related power systems is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical controls and commissioning methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Field Service Engineers, Technicians, and subcontractors during installation and commissioning.
• Develop and execute comprehensive commissioning plans for utility-scale BESS projects across the Americas.
• Establish and improve commissioning standards, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Manage subcontractor selection, onboarding, and performance with sourcing and project teams.
• Support RFQs, contractor evaluations, and commissioning service agreements.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery within budget.
• Provide technical leadership to field teams and engineers during execution.
• Work with engineering, quality, and safety teams to address field issues and implement corrective actions.
• Promote a strong 'Safety First' culture across all activities.
• Drive continuous improvement using feedback and lessons learned.
