Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects on construction sites across the Southeast. You will guide design-build efforts, manage budgets, procurement, interconnection, and commissioning from concept through energization.

Ideal candidates bring 10–15 years of construction leadership, a degree in CM/Engineering/Architecture, and a proven record delivering multi-hundred million dollar programs with safety and quality at the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering/Architecture or related field.
• 10–15 years of managing large construction projects, $50M+.
• Experience with design-build and power/renewable infrastructure.
• Strong safety record and commitment to quality.
• Budgeting, buyout and cost reporting experience.
• Knowledge of construction principles and technology.
• Understanding of BESS, lithium-ion systems, HV infrastructure and interconnection/commissioning.
• Experience leading a project management team.

Responsibilities

• Build client and subcontractor relationships.
• Team with Architects, Engineers, and Planners to create and manage a design schedule.
• Establish project forecasts and budgets.
• Manage costs.
• Coordinate BESS equipment procurement, interconnection requirements, and utility/grid commissioning.
• Accept full responsibility for project execution.
• Mentor and develop project management staff.
