Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas seeks a highly motivated Power Electronics Engineer for R&D projects on next‑generation data center power solutions and rapid DC charging. You will work in the Milan M. Jovanović Power Electronics Lab, RTP, NC.

The role requires hands-on design, testing, and collaboration with teams across the globe. MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering plus strong skills in power electronics are preferred.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering required or preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with global teams.
• Deep knowledge in circuit topologies, soft-switching, modelling and control of power converters.
• Hands-on design, debugging and testing of power converters.
• Familiarity with power-electronics simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, SIMPLIS, PLECS, MathCAD).
• Understanding of high-frequency magnetic components and insulation concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced research and testing of power electronics for high-power, medium-voltage applications.
• Collaborate with R&D and product teams to propose new power solutions and verify tests.
• Develop and maintain technical competency in high-power electronics for MV systems.
