Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas seeks a highly motivated Power Electronics Engineer to perform R&D on next‑gen datacenter power solutions and ultra-fast DC charging. The role is based in the Milan M. Jovanović Power Electronics Lab in Research Triangle Park, NC.

You will work with R&D and product teams to explore new power solutions, analyze trade-offs, and verify test results, contributing to a cleaner, more efficient energy future.

Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and with international teams.
• Deep knowledge of power converters, control and modeling.
• Hands-on design, debugging and testing of power converters.
• Familiar with digital controller implementations and control theory.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, SIMPLIS, PLECS, MathCAD.
• Understanding of high voltage insulation and multi-physics tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced R&D and testing of power electronics for high power and medium voltage.
• Collaborate with R&D and product teams to propose new power solutions and verify tests.
• Build and maintain competency in high power electronics for MV systems.
