Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas is seeking a Power Electronics R&D Engineer to drive advanced research and development projects for next-generation data-center power solutions and fast DC charging. The role is based at the Milan M.

Jovanović Power Electronics Lab in Research Triangle Park, NC. You will work with cross-functional teams to push state-of-the-art power conversion technologies, emphasizing efficiency, reliability, and scalable architectures for high-power applications.

Qualifications

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering (minimum).
Strong background in circuit topologies, soft-switching, modeling and control of power converters.
Hands-on experience designing, debugging, and testing power converters.
Familiarity with digital controllers and control theory implementation.
Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, SIMPLIS, PLECS and MathCAD.
Understanding of high-frequency magnetic components and multi-physics tools.
Knowledge of insulation concepts and E-field mitigation.

Responsibilities

Perform R&D, testing and verification of high-power, medium-voltage power electronics.
Collaborate with R&D and product teams to propose new power solutions and evaluate trade-offs.
Build and maintain technical competency for power electronics in data-centre and EV charging applications.
