Job summary

Delta Electronics (Americas) Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated Power Electronics Engineer to perform R&D for next‑generation datacenter power solutions and extreme fast DC charging. The role is based at the Milan M.

Jovanović Power Electronics Lab, located in Research Triangle Park, NC, with collaboration across global teams. You will develop high‑power converter topologies, simulate and test prototypes, and partner with R&D and product groups to validate concepts for scalable energy systems.

Qualifications

Deep knowledge of circuit topologies and soft-switching techniques in power converters.
Hands-on experience designing, debugging and testing power converters.
Familiarity with control theory and digital controller implementation.
Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, SIMPLIS, PLECS, Cadence for simulation and design.
Understanding of high‑frequency magnetic components and multi‑physics simulation tools.
Knowledge of high‑voltage insulation concepts and e‑field mitigation techniques.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced R&D, development, and testing of high‑power, medium‑voltage power electronics technologies.
Collaborate with R&D and product teams to propose new power solutions and analyze trade‑offs.
Build and maintain technical competency in high‑power electronics for medium‑voltage systems.
