Job summary

GE Vernova Power Conversion & Storage (PCS) is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join the Level 2 Engineering team. You will provide advanced technical support for Medium Voltage drives, grid-tied converters, DC systems, and PECe controllers, remotely and on-site as needed.

With mentoring from senior engineers, you will assist field service teams, develop technical instructions, conduct RCA, support commissioning, and contribute to training and knowledge-base improvements while upholding

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field, with 3–5+ years experience.
Power electronics, motor control knowledge, and drive topologies.
Experience with industrial drives, converters, automation systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshooting procedures.
Willing to travel up to 20% and support off-hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide Level 2 technical support for MV drives, grid-tied converters, DC systems, PECe controllers.
Assist Field Service Engineers and customers remotely and on-site when required.
Support commissioning, validation, FAT/SAT activities for power conversion systems.
Develop and maintain technical instructions, bulletins, and troubleshooting guides.
Perform root cause analysis and feed insights back to engineering.
Collaborate with Product Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Field Services.
Participate in training, knowledge-base development, and safety protocols.
