Job summary

RTX is seeking a junior to mid-level power electronics engineer for the Effector Analog & Power (EAP) Team in Tucson, AZ. You will design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuits, including non-isolated and isolated topologies, to support telemetry and flight termination products.

You will guide circuit card development, define schedules, and interact with ECAD drafters while contributing as an individual contributor and presenting results to leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR an advanced STEM degree.
• Design, analysis, test, and/or simulation experience with non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.
• Experience with MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or similar tools.
• Design and/or analysis experience with analog electronics including FETs/BJTs, op-amps, filters, termination, and comparators.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry (non-isolated and isolated), mainly board-mounted power end-use applications.
• Help drive circuit card development from requirements through initial integration testing.
• Define schedules for circuit-level tasks and guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing.
