Job summary

RTX is seeking a junior to mid-level engineer to join the Effector Analog & Power (EAP) Team in Tucson. You will design and analyze power conversion circuitry, both non-isolated and isolated, and help drive circuit-level tasks from concept through integration.

You will collaborate with a small team and present results to leadership. The role emphasizes hands-on design, testing, and documentation, with opportunities to grow technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration in a DoD-related

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of experience OR an advanced STEM degree.
• Experience with non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost (design/analysis/test/simulation).
• Experience using MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica or similar tools; analog electronics design experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry (non-isolated and isolated converters).
• Support circuit card development from requirements Definition to integration testing.
• Define schedules for circuit-level tasks and guide ECAD drafters through layout activities.
• Present work to functional and program leadership.
• Support small team growth and mentor junior engineers.
